Being a parent is a blessing, and watching your children grow is like the greatest gift of all.

However, being a parent and staying sexy at the same time is no joking matter. It is tough, but you have to try and strike a balance for the sake of your marriage.
Below are 4 ways you can keep romance alive in your marriage when you have kids:
- Schedule time for romance: As a parent, you sometimes get lost in the sea of raising the kids and working. At times like that, romance is the last thing on your mind. But even at that, you need to make an effort to have those special moments with your spouse. Make plans to go on a date together, or take an evening walk, every now and then so that you two can have a moment to yourselves without the kids around.
- Hang out and play together: The couple that plays together, stays together. You two can take part in each other's favourite pass time. Does your husband like to watch football games? Buy a box of popcorn and watch one of the games with him. Does your wife enjoy DIY home crafts? Try joining her while ahe's at it and you might even really learn a thing or two. This helps to strengthen the bond between you two.
- Go on a vacation: It also helps if you can 'get away' from the kids for a few days and just be together in a place far away from home. The change of scenery will do you both a lot of good and help you recapture those moments you shared before the little ones came into the picture.
- Cherish little things: Birthdays, anniversaries and holidays give you and your spouse the opportunity to display your love for each other with kind gestures. These moments don't come by everyday, so you should cherish them and ensure that you make your spouse realise how much they mean to you and what a blessing it is to have kids together and raise them in a loving home.
