Microsoft Group has announced the introduction of two new Lumia smartphones – the Lumia 730 and Lumia 830-to the Nigerian market
.
It said the introduction was in a bid to create an exciting holiday season for its numerous customers across Nigeria.
The Lumia 730, also known as Microsoft’s first selfie smartphone, comes with a full High Definition five-megapixel front-facing camera for users to take selfies and share quickly and easily on their social networks.
The Lumia 830 brings Microsoft’s flagship style and performance to more people with integrated Microsoft experiences and superior PureView imaging.
The Senior Product Manager, Microsoft Mobile, West and Central Africa, Olumide Balogun, explained that Lumia 730 combined “a slim, vibrant style with powerful performance to create an uncompromised smartphone experience.”
Alongside Dual SIM 3G support, he said the Lumia 730 provided outstanding personalisation brought by Windows Phone 8.1 to deliver seamless experiences to users.
“One distinct feature of the Lumia 730 smartphone is the full HD 5MP front-facing camera that not only takes unbeatable selfies but also make video calls on Skype through the wide-angle lens that lets you capture as many family members and friends as you can. Both the Lumia 730 and 830 come with our signature Lumia applications and Microsoft services, which make these devices work and play tool.
“Users can make anything happen with any of these devices as they can start their work anywhere using the Microsoft OneNote or Microsoft Office tools which they can upload to OneDrive and download anywhere and anytime for continuity,” Balogun said.
He added that the devices were enabling people to easily capture and share more of what they wanted through unique Lumia innovation and the best Microsoft experiences, “as well as be the best they can be at their workplace.”
He said, “With our PureView imaging, wireless charging and wealth of other great features, both devices will deliver the best innovations and experiences from our flagship smartphones at a more affordable price, underscoring Microsoft’s commitment to offer a competitive Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone for everyone.”
He said following the introduction of Lumia 530, the company was positive that the devices would offer its customers another Windows Phone 8.1 experience and at an affordable price.
“The Lumia 830 combines high-end style and performance in a sleek design. Add that to an industry leading Microsoft experiences and superior PureView imaging and it makes the Lumia 830 an attractive proposition for those customers who demand the best experiences at more affordable prices.” Balogun added.
These devices allow for seamless integration with Microsoft services such as Skype and Microsoft Office, with Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint available out of the box for leading productivity on the go. 15GB of free cloud storage on Microsoft OneDrive to sync, store, access and share content like photos online.
Both devices come in a range of attractive colours and are available in authorised retail and wholesale outlets across Nigeria.
