PHOTO: Oldest professional player scores stunning header


Kazuyoshi Miura beat his own previous record with an
emphatic finish for Yokohama in the J2-League.

Yokohama FC striker Kazuyoshi Miura found the net in his
side's 3-2 J2-League home defeat against Jubilo Iwata,
extending his record as the oldest scorer in Japan's
professional divisions.
Aged 48 years, one month and 10 days, 'King Kazu' - widely
acknowledged as the oldest professional footballer in the
world - scored a fantastic header to beat his own previous
record.
Throughout his lengthy career, Miura played for various
Brazilian clubs including Santos, Palmeiras and Coritiba, as
well as spending one season on loan at Italian club Genoa and
one in Croatia playing for Dinamo Zagreb.
He started his extraordinary professional career in 1986.
